Job summary

Arcadis is offering a paid Intern & Placement programme that gives hands-on insight into our work across civil, structural and environmental engineering. You will be exposed to real projects and clients, with training and signposted development to help you grow both personally and professionally during a 10–12-week internship or 12-month placement.

As an engineer, you will specialise within your discipline and gain core techniques to apply with clients in the UK and potentially international

Qualifications

• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject (Placement & Intern only)
• You will demonstrate Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
• You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
• Comfortable with Site based working, when required for projects

Responsibilities

• Work with civil engineering teams across highways, rail, energy and water to deliver safe, high-quality designs.
• Assist design of infrastructure and assess existing assets for repair or reuse using digital tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects from local schemes to major developments.
• Learn about project delivery models, contracts and commercial constraints while visiting sites.
• Support delivery of resilient, low-carbon solutions with environmental, social and economic impact.
