Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom invites you to join its paid Intern & Placement programme, offering hands-on exposure to real projects in highways, rail, energy and water sectors. You will be mentored, rotate across disciplines and complete a 10–12 week internship or a 12 month placement, developing technical and professional skills while aligning with Arcadis’ core values.

Qualifications

You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject.
Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and consult stakeholders.
Willing to travel and stay away from home (where possible virtual working).
Comfortable with site-based working when required for projects.

Responsibilities

Our civil engineering teams work on highways, rail, energy and water projects.
Design new infrastructure and assess existing assets for repair or reuse using tools in scope.
Learn about project delivery models, contracts and commercial constraints.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary groups and attend site visits to ensure safety and buildability.
Contribute to delivering low‑carbon, sustainable solutions across local and international schemes.
