Responsibilities
- Developing your skills in a wide range of exciting projects
- Learning and using relevant design software and technology
- Being involved in client meetings and assisting in building key client relationships
- Understanding and learning digital skills to harness technology in new ways
- Studying towards nationally recognised qualifications and accreditation with mentor support
- Applying civil engineering techniques, procedures and methods; designing, installing, commissioning, constructing, maintaining or operating civil engineering components and systems
- Employing mathematical, statistical, and data interpretation tools using analytical and computational methods
- Identifying, interpreting, and comparing information to select materials, components or parts
- Researching, collecting, selecting, and evaluating technical literature to address and analyse civil engineering problems
- Producing civil engineering technical solutions in accordance with industry standards, codes of practice, regulations, and legislation
- Applying project management techniques: measuring, recording, and reporting progress against performance criteria
- Managing quality processes and contributing to quality improvements
- Planning and managing resources, equipment and technology within project specifications, costs, budgets and timescales
- Monitoring and managing individual performance and the input of others, adapting to changing demands
- Communicating in verbal and written contexts using appropriate methods and engineering terminology
- Applying teamwork, collaboration, ethical and sustainability principles, and supporting health, safety, and welfare policies
