Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a Civil Engineer- Engineering Products for Sizewell C, joining a product family from concept to site delivery. Initially based in Dartford/London, the role progresses toward Sizewell C in Suffolk with greater on-site presence.

Sizewell C | Suffolk (initially Dartford/London based)

At Laing O'Rourke, we're redefining how major infrastructure is delivered. As part of the Sizewell C programme, we're looking for a Product Engineer to lead the development and delivery of a family of products that will play a critical role in one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.

This is a newly created position that brings together product development, engineering integration, manufacturing strategy and project delivery into a single role.

Initially, you'll be based from our Dartford location. As the project progresses, the role will transition towards Sizewell C in Suffolk, where a greater on-site presence will be required.

What you'll be doing

You’ll take ownership of a product family, such as walls, slabs, columns, Beams and other reinforced concrete solutions, coordinating the entire lifecycle from concept and design through to manufacturing and delivery on site.

Working across a matrix organisation, you’ll bring together technical, commercial and operational stakeholders to ensure products are developed, integrated and delivered successfully.

Key responsibilities include:

What we’re looking for

We’re open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, but you’ll likely bring experience in:

• Product coordination or product ownership within engineering and construction.
• Project coordination across complex technical projects.
• Reinforced concrete, precast, structural engineering or product manufacturing environments.
• Reinforcement detailing, assembly or constructability considerations.
• Coordinating with stakeholders across technical, commercial and operational functions.
• Planning, risk management and programme delivery.
• DFMA (modular, precast, industrialised concrete products) on large infrastructure or civil engineering projects with a manufacturing-led approach.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can take ownership, connect teams together and drive outcomes across multiple disciplines.
