Job summary

RGB in Somerset is seeking a Civil Engineer - Drainage to take ownership of drainage design projects. You will develop strategies, feasibility studies and detailed designs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and building strong client relationships throughout the development process.

The role requires at least three years' post-qualification experience, clear technical delivery, and the ability to support construction and commissioning with robust drainage solutions.

Qualifications

• At least three years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical design ability and clear communication.
• Ability to work across the full development process from studies to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop drainage solutions for sewage and surface water.
• Prepare drainage strategies and feasibility studies.
• Produce detailed drainage designs and construction drawings.
• Undertake flood risk assessments and apply SuDS principles.
• Liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support construction with setting-out drawings and details.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Lead client relationships and ensure technical delivery.
