Job summary

RGB in Manchester is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join the Water and Drainage team on major UK infrastructure projects. The role focuses on civil design across water and drainage, producing detailed drawings and supporting AMP8 and CSO programmes.

Hybrid working pattern: 2 days in the Salford office and 3 days from home; 3–6 years' experience required with strong software skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years’ experience in civil engineering consultancy or contractor.
• Background in drainage or water.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage preferred.
• Comfort with regulated water and AMP programmes.

Responsibilities

• Civil design and delivery across water, drainage and wastewater projects.
• Producing detailed designs and technical drawings.
• Working across regulated water and AMP programmes.
• Supporting CSO / storm overflow schemes.
• Developing drainage and wider civil infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborating with senior engineers and the project team.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other disciplines.
• Supporting projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
• Developing technical skills and increasing responsibility.
