Job summary

CHG Electrical is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with 3-5+ years' civil design experience in utilities, infrastructure or water projects. You will use AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage to develop layouts, support MEICA coordination and deliver practical, buildable designs for UK water infrastructure.

Based in Sheffield with hybrid working (1-2 days home), the role offers £45,000-£60,000 plus a performance bonus and flexible hours. Full-time, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience producing civil designs with water utilities or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil designs, drawings and calculations for below-ground structures, foundations and temporary works.
• Develop site layouts and enable works to support project delivery.
• Coordinate with MEICA teams and external consultants to ensure integration.
• Ensure designs are buildable and compliant with standards.
• Provide technical support during construction and contribute to project documentation.
