A construction consulting firm located in Norwich is looking for a Civil Engineer to manage and develop a variety of construction projects. The successful candidate will work on residential, educational, and community projects, ensuring designs meet UK standards and managing deliverables within budget. A degree in Civil Engineering and proficiency in relevant software such as CAD and Microdrainage are essential. We have an opening for a Civil Engineer to join our clients lively Norwich office. Our client is a group of specialists within Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Pre-planning, Building Surveying, Insurance Surveying, Project Management & Expert Witness.
You can expect to assist in the delivery of a range of projects (residential, education, community and health, heritage, universities, and colleges) and procurement methods; traditional, design and construct contracts.
Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
Assess the impact and feasibility of site due diligence, preliminary layout and up to the final engineering design.
Study and assess drawings, plans, specifications and other documents relating to construction projects.
Manage deliverables on time and within the budget.
Collaborate and interact with construction teams, architects and outside project developers and consultants.
Designing to all relevant UK standards and guides.
Obtain approval from approving bodies.
Duties under H&S / CDM.
