Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Citrix Support Engineer to monitor, maintain, and support one of BT’s largest environments across multiple locations in the UK. The role covers Citrix and Remote Access platforms, with 24/7 coverage including out-of-hours and on-call responsibilities.

You will join a team of Citrix engineers delivering high performance and secure access for thousands of BT users. The role requires strong Windows OS administration and familiarity with AD and PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Citrix administration is preferred.
• Administration of Windows operating systems is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Active Directory is preferred.
• PowerShell knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of Citrix and remote access platforms.
• Monitor and administer Citrix and Remote Access services; proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Handle incidents and restore services for Citrix, AOVPN and related infrastructure.
• Perform change management within live production environments following change control processes.
• Investigate problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Interact with end users, stakeholders, vendors and technical teams supporting Remote Access services.
• Ensure security, compliance and vulnerability remediation across Remote Access platforms.
• Monitor system performance, capacity management and optimization of services.
• Apply OS, application and security patches across Citrix and Remote Access infrastructure.
• Maintain operations documentation, knowledge articles and SOPs.
• Manage AOVPN configurations and Zscaler policies; control access and authentication.
• Contribute to projects, POCs, platform migrations and modernization initiatives.
• Provide technical support for remote workforce enablement and secure access to corporate resources.
