Job summary

Benefact Group plc in Gloucester is seeking an Underwriter on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 35 hours a week. You will assess underwriting activities for church-related risks, handling building works, unoccupied risks, surveys and enquiries, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, with industry knowledge desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Profitably underwrite and negotiate new and existing church-related business within authority limits.
• Plan, prioritise and manage workload to meet objectives and SLAs.
• Build strong relationships through effective communication and accurate information handling.
• Operate within regulatory requirements, identify risks and act on audit feedback.
• Develop technical knowledge through training and industry engagement.
