Ecclesiastical Insurance, proudly part of Benefact Group, is recruiting an Underwriter for Gloucester on a 12-month fixed-term contract within the Church Operations Department. The role focuses on underwriting activity for church-related risks, with emphasis on building works, unoccupied risks, surveys and enquiries.

Qualifications

• Underwriter role assessing building works, unoccupied risks, surveys and general enquiries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service focus.
• Cert CII or willingness to achieve within a set timescale.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and negotiate new and existing business within authority limits.
• Plan and manage workload to meet SLAs and deliver excellent service.
• Maintain internal/external relationships and ensure right-first-time outcomes.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and act on audit feedback.
