Job summary

COOK is seeking a Christmas Driver in Billericay to join our retail team. You will deliver food to customers’ homes on a casual basis, ensuring safe, timely service and compliance with our driver handbook. A UK Cat B licence and minimum two years’ driving experience are preferred, with age 25+ for insurance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Cat B driving licence.
• Minimum two years’ experience driving the class of vehicle.
• Aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders safely and in line with the driver handbook.
• Plan routes for efficient delivery and report delays to the office.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic laws and speed limits.
• Complete and return all paperwork at end of shift.

The Role

• Offer remarkable service, the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.
• Carry out deliveries safely and in line with the responsibilities in our driver handbook.
• Plan your route to ensure efficient and timely delivery, communicating any delays or issues with our office team so the customer can be informed.
• Take care to look after your own safety and that of others. Drive in a safe and responsible manner, comply with all relevant traffic regulations, including adhering to speed limits
• Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed and returned to the office at the end of each shift.

Good to Have

Cat B Full Car/Van UK manual driving licence. Minimum of two years driving the class of vehicle. Aged 25 and over for Insurance.
