Job summary

Mploy is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our client in the Poole area within the food and FMCG sector. This hands-on leadership role oversees day-to-day production and ensures high‑quality chocolate products are made safely, efficiently and on time.

You will lead the production team, drive continuous improvement, uphold food safety standards and collaborate with Quality, Warehouse and other departments to resolve issues swiftly.

Qualifications

• Experience in production management within food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Proactive, organised and commercially aware.
• Hands-on leader who motivates teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily production operations.
• Supervise, motivate and develop the production team.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and deadlines are achieved.
• Monitor efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety.
• Manage staffing, production planning and resource requirements.
• Work with Quality, Warehouse, NPD and other departments.
• Identify and resolve production issues quickly.
• Ensure procedures and manufacturing standards are followed.
