Job summary

Valeo Foods in Blackpool is seeking a Day Shift Team Manager to lead the production area and team across two shifts. You will be responsible for delivering production targets while maintaining GMP and food safety standards, coaching staff, and coordinating cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced confectionery production

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food/confectionery.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, health and safety, and food safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams in a fast-paced production setting.
• Excellent problem-solving and results-driven mindset.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills for a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of production operators and support staff within the designated area.
• Oversee daily production activities and adherence to schedules and targets.
• Identify operational challenges and drive improvements to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
• Ensure GMP, health and safety and food safety compliance through audits and inspections.
