Job summary

Hotel Chocolat in Huntingdon seeks a Senior Machine Operative to lead a chocolate production line, owning start-ups, changeovers, and daily operations in a fast-paced factory setting.

You will drive quality, cost efficiency, and timely plan delivery while ensuring staff adherence to GMP, HACCP, and safety standards across shifts. This role requires proactive leadership and collaboration with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Lead and support a production team on high-volume chocolate lines.
• Maintain high standards of GMP and food safety in daily operations.
• Drive quality and efficiency to meet plan with minimal waste.
• Report issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance for downtime reductions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and changeover production lines and equipment on schedule.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely availability of ingredients, packaging and tools.
• Ensure line starts are compliant with product specs and health & safety requirements.
• Mentor new starters and support training across shifts.
