Job summary

Interserve Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Children’s Complex Care Assistant to support a home-based 11-year-old with complex medical needs, including ventilator dependence and gastrostomy.

You’ll provide overnight care, monitor saturations, and document findings while building a warm, trusting relationship with the family and their friendly dog. Full training and DBS are provided, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care is required.
• Ability to monitor saturations and document data.
• Warm, chatty and patient with a caring mindset.

What you’ll do

We’re excited to offer a wonderful opportunity for a compassionate Children’s Complex Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide dedicated care for our delightful 11-year-old client living with complex medical needs, including ventilator dependence, and has a gastrostomy.

The client lives at home with their loving family and a friendly Cocker Spaniel, and they’re seeking someone warm, chatty, and easy-going - someone who can build a genuine connection with the whole family.

For this role, you will be required to provide overnight support to the client when asleep, monitoring saturations and appropriate documentation of saturations.

What you’ll need

Previous complex care experience is required for this position. As well as plenty of care, compassion, and resilience.
