CCH in Horbury is seeking a compassionate Children’s Complex Care Assistant to support a young client with complex needs, including ventilator dependence and a gastrostomy. You will provide overnight care within the family home, building a warm connection with the child and their relatives.

The role requires empathy, resilience and the ability to monitor saturations during sleep, with accurate documentation and a commitment to consistency and safety.

What you’ll do

We’re excited to offer a wonderful opportunity for a compassionateChildren’s Complex Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide dedicated care for our delightful 11-year-old client living withcomplex medical needs, including ventilator dependence, and has a gastrostomy.

The client lives at home with their loving family and a friendly Cocker Spaniel, and they’re seeking someone warm, chatty, and easy-going - someone who can build a genuine connection with the whole family.

For this role, you will be required to provide overnight support to the client when asleep, monitoring saturations and appropriate documentation of saturations.

What you’ll need

Previous complex care experience is required for this position. As well as plenty of care, compassion, and resilience.
