Job summary

Complete Care Amegreen, part of CCH, is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant to support a young child with extensive daily needs in Buckley. The role requires dedication to high-quality, person-centered care around the clock and involves mobility support, feeding via a jejunostomy/gastrostomy, medication administration, and respiratory monitoring as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience in complex child care is essential; respiratory management experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with complex needs in home care settings.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support a young child who is fully dependent for all care 24/7.
• Assist with repositioning, mobility, manual handling.
• Support feeding via jejunostomy/gastrostomy and administer medications.
• Monitor skin integrity and breathing, assist with oxygen and suction as needed.
• Implement physiotherapy routines as advised.

Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care 24/7.

Their care needs consist of:

• Repositioning, mobility requirements and manual handling
• Dual Jejunostomy and Gastrostomy Button for feeding and administering medication
• Monitoring of skin and tissue viability
• Complex Epilepsy and Dystonia, requiring rescue medication
• Oxygen, suctioning and saturation monitoring
• Respiratory requirements, interventions of bag and mask, oxygen and stimulation. This can be multiple times per day.
• Physiotherapy progamme

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting. Experience in respiratory management would be beneficial.
