Job summary

South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting multiple Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners / CYPMH Practitioners to deliver low‑intensity, evidence‑based mental health interventions for children, young people and families. Training is central to the role and progression is encouraged within a supportive, multi‑disciplinary environment.

The post involves direct clinical work, training peers, and collaborating across services to ensure safe, effective care in line with iTHRIVE

Qualifications

• Qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner or Core Professional qualification.
• Registration with BABCP or BPS as a Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner, or working towards registration.
• Postgraduate qualification in Children and Young Peoples Mental Health or related area.
• Recognised supervision certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence‑based interventions and outcome‑focused standards of care to children and families.
• Deliver high‑quality training, consultation and support to other staff.
• Work collaboratively with multi‑professional teams to ensure practice is efficient, evidence‑based and safe.
• Collaborate with multi‑professional teams to ensure service delivery is effective and safe.
