Job summary

Superior Healthcare in Hertfordshire is recruiting a compassionate Children’s Support Worker to provide one-to-one care for a 4-year-old with complex healthcare needs, following a personalised care plan within a supportive clinical team.

Role includes weekend day shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 8am–8pm), induction and ongoing training, safeguarding responsibilities and the chance to develop into more specialist care.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting paediatric clients.
• Ability to follow an individual care plan.
• Full UK manual driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Caring, respectful and reliable approach.
• Good communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centred support.
• Support daily routines and agreed personal goals.
• Promote independence, choice and dignity.
• Provide personal care where this forms part of the individual care plan.
• Support social activities and access to the community where required.
• Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the person you support.
• Observe wellbeing and report changes or concerns.
• Maintain clear and accurate care records.
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and professionals.
