What You'll Be DoingAs a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
Support the Registered Manager in running a safe, child-centred home (up to 3 young people).
Lead shifts, mentor junior staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
Help develop individual care plans and ensure every child is supported emotionally and practically.
Support staff inductions and training, promoting good practice and a positive team culture.
Provide therapeutic care and help children manage complex behaviours and emotions.
Take part in fun activities, days out, and holidays — helping create special moments and positive experiences.
Keep accurate records and uphold safeguarding protocols and professional standards.
Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a children’s residential setting.
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Minimum 22 years old (as per Ofsted regulations).
A manual driving licence is essential.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and team leadership.
A calm, resilient, and child-focused approach.
Competitive salary: £30,000 – £37,000, based on experience
