Job summary

GSL Education is recruiting a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker for a therapeutic residential home in Northampton. This permanent, full-time role requires caring for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, working with education staff and multi-agency professionals to create a safe, structured environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, a valid UK driving licence, and experience supporting challenging behaviour,

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is required.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to children in a therapeutic residential home.
• Support individual care and behaviour plans and de-escalate challenging situations using positive strategies.
• Collaborate with families and external professionals to achieve best outcomes for each child.
