Job summary

Pro Social Partners are recruiting a Residential Support Worker for a North Star Children's Home in Leatherhead, Surrey. This permanent, full-time role involves day-to-day care, structure, and positive role modelling for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You will join a supportive staff team in a settled home where consistency helps children feel safe and thrive. The post requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, experience with children or young people, and a

Qualifications

Requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
Experience supporting children or young people, preferably in a residential setting.
Calm, patient approach to children who have experienced trauma.
Reliability and teamwork essential.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day care, structure, and positive role modelling for the children in the home.
Support children with school, activities, life skills, and community time.
Contribute to key working, care plans, risk assessments, and daily records.
Work alongside a close-knit team to keep the home safe, warm, and nurturing.
Work a mixed shift pattern across mornings, afternoons, and full days, with on average one weekend off in three.
