Job summary

Horizon Care Ltd is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Bradford to help looked-after young people thrive in a caring home environment. Your role includes supporting daily routines, meals and activities, while promoting safety, personal development and emotional wellbeing.

You’ll build trusting relationships, act as a positive role model, and participate in care planning alongside education and health professionals.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving licence is essential.
• Ability to be a great role model to looked after children.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with looked after children.
• Genuine care and compassion to work with looked after children.
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in Children’s and Young People Workforce.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily activities and routines.
• Create a safe, homely, therapeutic environment.
• Encourage hobbies, social activities and friendships.
• Help young people reach their potential and access opportunities.
• Contribute to care planning and safeguarding.
