Job summary

Bridge2Future Care Group seeks a dedicated Residential Support Worker for our EBD Children’s Home in Bradford. You will work 9:30am–11pm on a rota, with occasional sleep-ins (£70 supplement per sleep-in) and 3–4 shifts weekly.

Full-time, permanent role with benefits including funded qualifications and overtime pay. Applicants should hold a Diploma in Residential Child Care (Level 3/4) or be willing to work towards it, have a UK driving licence, and be aged 21 or over.

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 3/4 in Residential Child Care or willingness to work towards this.
• Experience with Children and Young People with social and emotional difficulties or challenging behaviours.
• Good communication, empathy and patience.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, physical, and educational support to children and young people in a residential setting.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
• Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities to support development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and relevant information.
• Respond calmly to crises to safeguard children’s safety and well-being.
