Break Charity is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker (Disability Service) on a relief basis in King’s Lynn. You will work on-site in a warm, therapeutic environment to support young people who have experienced trauma, helping them develop independence and confidence.

A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is funded by Break and a full, valid manual driving licence is required. You’ll join a supportive team, access funded qualifications, and benefit from wellbeing and discounts

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in residential childcare or similar settings.
• Proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme.
• Enhanced DBS check required for the role.

Responsabilités

• Create a nurturing and supportive environment where young people can thrive and achieve positive outcomes.
• Encourage new experiences and help young people develop identity, confidence and independence with colleagues and Break’s therapeutic services.
• Plan and take part in trips and activities while supporting young people to learn new skills and overcome communication difficulties.
• Assist with manual handling as needed, including assisting young people in and out of wheelchairs and using hoists.
