Job summary

Esland in Wakefield is recruiting a Children's Residential Support Worker to provide high-level therapeutic care for young people in a smaller, dedicated home.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a shift pattern of 2 days on, 4 days off including sleep nights; salary £33,682 - £34,305 per year and overtime opportunities.

Applicants must have a full UK driving licence, be 21+ and have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Must have high levels of empathy and resilience.
• Experience in providing therapeutic care to children in care is a plus.
• Be 21 years old or above; hold right to work in the UK; hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of therapeutic care to young people in a residential setting.

Contract: full time, permanent

Hours: 2 days on, 4 days off (with sleep nights). We are a 365 day a year service due to the nature of our work. Rotas given in advance

Pay rate: £33,682 to £34,305 per annum* (depending on qualification) with opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate

Applicants must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Our Wakefield home is a solo service that offers a smaller setting for young people who need therapeutic placements.

Our team supports their young person with all of their domestic needs, education and socialisation skills while learning new things and experiencing fun activities and excursions together. Through our specialist skills and training, we ensure a high level of therapeutic care is provided.

Due to industry regulations and role requirements, applicants must:

• Be 21 years old or above


• Hold right to work in the UK with no restrictions


• Hold a full, UK driving licence
