Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd is seeking a committed Support Worker for a residential children’s care home in the Nottingham area. You will provide person-centred support, assist with personal care and daily living needs, and foster independence while maintaining dignity and privacy.

Ideal candidates will have experience in complex care or similar settings, a caring and patient approach, and strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with individuals and families.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in complex care or similar settings is desirable.
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
• A caring, patient approach and excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with individuals and families is important.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication and daily living needs.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote independence and choice.
• Support with behaviours using agreed care plans and positive behaviour strategies.
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain care records and follow safeguarding procedures.
