Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a 4-bed residential children's home in the Lewes area. You will support young people with emotional and developmental needs, helping them build routines and independence in a trauma-informed setting.

The role requires flexibility for long shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. A full UK driving licence is essential; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Background working with vulnerable children (under 18) in SEN or similar environment.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Willingness to work long shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Experience with safeguarding practices and trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Support emotional, physical and developmental needs of young people.

If you have experience working with vulnerable young people under the age of 18, supported children in an SEN environment, worked with challenging behaviours and are looking for your next steps in your career this may be the role for you!

We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join my clients 4 bed residential children's home supporting young people with problematic sexual behaviours.This is a trauma-informed environment where patience, resilience, consistency and genuine care are essential.

This role requires real dedication and heart, as you will be supporting young people who may have experienced significant trauma and challenging life experiences.

The role also requires flexibility, with long shifts including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in shifts.

What's on offer:

• £31,000 OTE including sleep ins
• Opportunity to earn up to £34,000 including bonuses
• Full-time, permanent position

The Role:

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Support children with their emotional, physical and developmental needs
• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people

• Support young people who have experienced trauma in a therapeutic way
• Encourage positive activities, routines and life experiences
• Help young people develop independence and confidence
• Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team

This role includes long shifts, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins, so flexibility is essential.
