CareTech is seeking a Support Worker for a children’s residential care setting in Leek. You’ll support young people aged 3–18 with learning disabilities, helping with daily routines, personal care, school prep and activities.

No prior experience needed—full training is provided and you’ll join a warm, supportive team. This role offers full-time contracts, a welcoming home environment, funded induction with Enhanced DBS, funded QCF Diploma progression, and a £1000 referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient and caring with a focus on others.
• No experience needed - full training provided.
• A real desire to make a difference every day.
• Must hold a manual Driving Licence (vehicles are provided at the home).
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and sleep in’s.

Responsabilités

• Support young people with their daily routines; Personal Care, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities through to bed time.
• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
• Keep essential records for high-quality care
