Job summary

Therapeutic Care Limited in Preston, Lancashire, is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a residential children’s home. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safeguarding and wellbeing across the team.

The role requires a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare and at least 2 years of managerial experience in residential childcare. Salary starts from £50,000, with negotiable terms.

Qualifications

• Qualified as Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years managerial or supervisory experience in residential childcare.
• Experience as a Registered Manager.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, structured homely environment for children.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Provide leadership to staff and work with other professionals.
• Monitor activities to ensure desired outcomes.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate policy changes.
