Job summary

Portman Recruitment is recruiting for a Registered Manager role in Derbyshire. You will lead a children's residential service, ensuring a safe, structured and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Key responsibilities include developing care plans, supervising staff, and delivering high-quality, therapeutic care while ensuring Ofsted compliance and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare is required.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards achieving it).
  • At least two years’ experience in a residential childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of children's home legislation, Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
  • Experience completing risk assessments and producing clear, professional reports.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire teams.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach.

Your Role as Registered Manager

As a Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading your service and ensuring exceptional outcomes for young people.
