Job summary

Purosearch is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children's home for learners with disabilities and autism in Rotherham. You will establish culture, recruit your team, and create a therapeutic environment from day one.

Candidates with experience in children’s residential care and a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations will be supported to succeed, including Level 5 leadership development and safeguarding.

• Build relationships with families, local authorities, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
• Drive continuous improvement and prepare the home for strong Ofsted outcomes.
• Promote a positive culture enabling children to reach their full potential.

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE) + additional performance-related bonus structure.

Location: Rotherham

Home Size: Brand new 2 Bed LD home

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a brand new specialist children's home, giving you the autonomy to establish the culture, recruit your own team, and create an outstanding therapeutic environment from the very beginning. Whether you\'re an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready for your first registration, full support is available to help you succeed.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Experience working within children\'s residential care.
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or significant experience as a Deputy Manager looking to progress.
• A sound understanding of Ofsted regulations and children\'s home legislation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
• A passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care and achieving positive outcomes.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it.
