Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is seeking a Deputy Manager for a 4-bed children's residential home in Nottingham. You will support the Registered Manager, lead shifts, supervise staff and deliver high-quality therapeutic care to children aged 7–17 in a structured, supportive setting.

The role requires Level 3/4 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Workforce, 2 years’ senior residential experience, safeguarding knowledge, and a full UK driving licence. DBS and references will be required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce / Residential Childcare (essential).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker in children's residential care.
• Experience supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma and attachment difficulties.
• Good understanding of therapeutic parenting, attachment-based practice, DDP and PACE (desirable).
• Passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred and therapeutic care.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and regulatory documentation.
• Promote positive outcomes through therapeutic parenting and trauma-informed approaches.

What We're Looking For
