Job summary

Purosearch Ltd. in Leicester is seeking a Deputy Children’s Home Manager for a 4-bed EBD setting. You will support the Registered Manager to drive day-to-day operation, deliver high-quality care, and ensure Ofsted-compliant safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with daily operation of the home.
• Maintain standards of care in line with Ofsted and safeguarding practices.
• Lead and develop a team of residential care workers.
• Oversee and review individual care plans.
• Foster a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.
• Manage staff rotas, budgeting and records.
• Build relationships with external agencies and families.

Deputy Children’s Home Manager - 4 Bed EBD

Location: Leicester, LE18

Salary: £38,000 per annum (Inclusive of 4 sleep ins per month)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s home setting.
• Proven leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.
• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (desirable – training support available for the right candidate).

• Manage administrative duties including staff rotas, budgeting, and accurate record-keeping.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, professionals, and families to support holistic care.
