Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a highly organised Child Health Screening Assistant based in the Inner Moray Firth Operational Unit to support population-wide child health screening and immunisation programmes, improving outcomes for over 40,000 children.

You will maintain and update records, collaborate with GPs, Health Visitors and School Nurses, help roll out new screening initiatives, and generate reports to support service delivery, training, and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• NVQ level or equivalent education required.
• At least two years’ admin or office experience.
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update child health records and systems, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
• Coordinate with health professionals and education authorities to ensure all children are included in screening programmes.
• Assist in the roll-out of new national and local screening initiatives. Generate reports to support business delivery.
• Provide confidential and responsive support to professionals and the public.
