An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Child Exploitation Case Worker to support vulnerable children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent. This vital role involves providing holistic family support, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with various agencies to ensure young victims receive necessary assistance. You'll engage with hard-to-reach individuals using creative techniques and promote positive community engagement through training and awareness sessions. Join us in making a difference as a Child Exploitation Case Worker with Catch22, supporting Staffordshire Police, Stoke-on-Trent, and Staffordshire local authorities. In this vital role, you'll provide holistic family support to children and young people at risk of or subjected to child criminal exploitation (CE) through urban gang affiliation. Your responsibilities include one-to-one intervention, group work, and training events to raise awareness of CE and youth crime issues in Stoke-On-Trent and Staffordshire. Collaborating with Children's Social Care and the Police, you'll undertake assessments, develop risk reduction plans, and work towards a holistic approach for up to 15 young people at a time.
As a Child Exploitation Case Worker, you'll have the opportunity to engage hard-to-reach young people and families through creative techniques, promoting access to diversionary activities that reduce the risk of criminal exploitation. Your role will involve delivering awareness/training sessions to various stakeholders, fostering positive relationships with partner agencies, and ensuring young victims receive the necessary support during police investigations and court cases. This role offers a chance to contribute directly to improving lives on the frontline, addressing complex issues that can trap and disempower vulnerable individuals.
Salary: £25,752.86
Contract: Full-time (37 hours/week), Permanent
Working hours are flexible between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, including weekends as necessary to meet service needs.
Vetting and Clearance: Enhanced DBS check required
You will need a current driving licence, business insurance, and access to a suitable vehicle for work, with willingness to travel across Stoke and Staffordshire to deliver/coordinate services. Broader travel may also be required.
