Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a 3-month contract in Islington to supervise and facilitate child contact sessions within a safe, supportive environment. You will ensure compliance with court directives, safeguarding policies and statutory requirements, while maintaining accurate records and promoting positive outcomes for children and families.

The role runs 21 hours per week, paid at £26.83 per hour via Umbrella, with Enhanced DBS clearance required for children and adults.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people and families in social care or related settings.
• Ability to observe, monitor and record information accurately and objectively.
• Capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Manage challenging situations professionally and maintain boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Supervise contact sessions between children, parents, and approved individuals, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Observe and record interactions during sessions in an objective, professional manner.
• Prepare detailed reports for Social Workers, Courts and other professionals.
• Ensure all contact arrangements follow court orders, care plans, and statutory guidance.
• Safely manage difficult situations and take appropriate action when concerns arise.
• Maintain a child-centred, professional environment during sessions.
