Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited are recruiting for a 3‑months contract role with a local authority to support delivery of Children's Social Care. You will work with children and families, provide practical, emotional and social support, contribute to assessments and care planning, and help safeguard vulnerable children and young people.

Working hours are 36 per week; Enhanced DBS check required; bi‑weekly schedule; the role closes on 23rd July 2026. Apply ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, young people and families in social care, education, health, youth work or community settings.
• Experience identifying safeguarding concerns and following child protection procedures.
• Level 3 qualification in Social Care, Childcare, Youth Work or related field with CPD evidence.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children and young people aged 0–25 and their families to support positive outcomes.
• Contribute to assessments, care planning, reviews, and interventions using a child-centred approach.
• Deliver practical and emotional support to children, young people and families within homes and communities.
• Support children and families in accordance with Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children and other statutory care plans.
• Promote children's wellbeing, resilience, self-esteem and emotional development.
