Job summary

AXA Insurance UK seeks a Head of Technology and Resilience Risk to lead risk management across technology, operational resilience, change, incident response and third‑party oversight. You will report to the Director of Risk, Governance and Conduct, sit on the COO’s extended Senior Leadership team, and provide strategic risk insight to senior stakeholders.

The role combines hands‑on leadership with shaping an end‑to‑end resilience agenda.

Qualifications

• Extensive track record in technology and resilience risk with customer-focused outcomes.
• Hands-on experience managing financial services risks (regulatory, operational, strategic).
• In-depth knowledge of UK insurance and financial services regulations.
• Proficient in KRI development, monitoring and control assurance methods.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across senior leadership and governance forums.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technology and Operational Resilience Strategy aligned to IBS standards.
• Manage Technology Risk and Modernisation to simplify and improve estate.
• Oversee Change and Transformation Risk and assess impacts.
• Information Security and Data Governance covering GDPR and data quality.
• Third-Party and Supply Chain Resilience with exit strategies.
• Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis with lessons learned.
• Risk Reporting and Insights using SCALA to senior management.
• Build Risk Maturity and Culture across AXA Insurance COO.
