Job summary

The AA in London is seeking a Head of Operational Resilience to lead the evolution of its enterprise resilience framework with hybrid working and regular travel to the Basingstoke HQ. You will collaborate across Technology, Risk, Information Security and the wider business to embed resilient, well-governed processes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading Operational Resilience, Business Continuity or resilience risk within a large, regulated organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Operational Resilience regulation, including Important Business Services, impact tolerances, service mapping, governance and scenario testing.
• Experience working closely with Technology and Information Security teams on resilience, disaster recovery and cyber resilience.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior executives, Board or Executive Committees, with the ability to communicate complex resilience matters clearly.
• Demonstrable success translating regulatory requirements into practical resilience strategies and action plans.
• Professional qualifications such as CBCI, ISO 22301 or similar are advantageous, although equivalent experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously evolve The AA's Operational Resilience framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practice.
• Drive Business Continuity planning, scenario testing and resilience exercises across critical services, identifying vulnerabilities and overseeing remediation.
• Partner with Technology, Information Security, Risk and business leaders to strengthen technology resilience and disaster recovery.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders, Executive Committees and Board forums through clear reporting and recommendations.
• Ensure resilience is embedded into change programmes, supplier governance and strategic decision making.
• Lead and develop a high-performing Operational Resilience team and raise resilience awareness across the organisation.
