Job summary

Get Staffed Online Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced senior leader to guide a maritime charity through its next growth phase from Hessle, UK. You will work with the Board of Trustees, represent the charity publicly, and lead a high-impact team across fundraising and programmes.

The role requires a track record in growth and governance, with the authority to shape strategy, build partnerships, and ensure financial and safeguarding integrity. Regular UK travel is involved.

Qualifications

• Senior executive leadership experience in a charity or comparable purpose-led organisation.
• Proven track record of leading growth, change and transformation.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver strategy with the Board of Trustees.
• Grow family support and shift towards self-sufficiency.
• Lead income strategy across corporate partners, trusts, major donors, events and maritime sector.
• Lead and empower a skilled team in a positive culture.
• Accountability for safeguarding, governance and finances.
• Build relationships with Patron, President, partner charities and seafaring communities.
• Oversee communications and brand to tell a consistent story.
