Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead engineering delivery across a portfolio of complex construction and infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Framework Lead, you will provide technical leadership, governance and operational oversight across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Master's degree desirable.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status preferred.
• Site safety certification such as SMSTS and CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for engineering activities across multiple projects and programmes.
• Establish engineering standards, governance processes and technical assurance frameworks.
• Act as the senior engineering authority on complex technical challenges and critical project decisions.
• Ensure engineering solutions are safe, compliant, buildable and aligned with client and business objectives.
• Lead multidisciplinary design development and integration activities.
• Champion constructability, design risk management and value engineering.
• Drive safety, quality and compliance across engineering and construction activities.
• Integrate engineering into project delivery plans and manage technical interfaces across workstreams.
• Provide technical input into commercial decisions, bids and contract administration.
• Develop engineering capability and succession plans across the organisation.
