Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure in Motherwell is seeking an Engineering Manager (Civils) to lead civil engineering activities across pre-contract and delivery stages for the Energy business, including CMN3 and Harburn projects.

You will oversee internal and external resources, ensure safety and schedule adherence, manage client and consultant relationships, and drive design governance, CDM compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng or ICE) required.
• Extensive senior-level civil design and construction experience in regulated sectors.
• Proven tender team leadership for price and quality bids.
• Experience with joint ventures, alliances or collaborative delivery models.
• Strong understanding of procurement routes and contracts.
• Experience with ViewPoint and ACC is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering activities across pre-contract and delivery stages.
• Manage internal and external resources to meet safety, time, and budget targets.
• Identify temporary works and allocate resources with operations directors.
• Serve as senior point of contact for customers and consulting engineers.
• Ensure staff competency, training records, and compliance.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Support pre-contract activities including bid reviews and tender input.
• Drive innovation and knowledge sharing across the Energy portfolio.
