Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure in South Wales is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead civil projects within the Welsh Water AMP portfolio, delivering safe, high-quality outcomes and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires robust engineering knowledge, strong leadership, and effective stakeholder management.

You will plan activities, manage engineering processes, supervise site teams, and help maintain programme and quality standards while building client relationships across the framework.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in construction, utilities or infrastructure.
• Experience delivering civil projects from planning through to completion.
• Strong ability to manage activities while meeting quality, safety and programme objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership and technical support across project delivery.
• Plan and coordinate engineering activities to meet outcomes.
• Ensure works comply with specifications, drawings and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and site staff.
• Support Site Agent in planning and delivery of construction activities.
• Monitor site operations and provide engineering solutions to challenges.
• Assist with programme management and progress reporting.
• Maintain engineering records and QA documentation.
• Support health, safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
• Assist with site supervision and construction management as needed.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships within the framework.
