Job summary

Head of Compliance, Compliance Oversight & MLRO at Mphasis UK Ltd leads independent oversight of FCA-compliant frameworks, AML/CTF, and SMF16/SMF17 functions, with accountability to the Managing Director and Board. The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to provide challenge while remaining independent.

The successful candidate will oversee Consumer Duty, governance of outsourced activities, and regulatory reporting to the Board, ensuring robust controls

Qualifications

• Significant FCA-regulated financial services experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the FCA Handbook (CONC, SYSC, DISP, Consumer Duty, SM&CR).
• Experience developing, implementing or monitoring compliance frameworks, policies and controls.
• Experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory advice and risk assessments.
• Good understanding of AML, sanctions, CDD and financial crime requirements.
• Experience preparing management information and presenting matters to senior management.
• Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of the firm's compliance and financial crime framework.
• Develop, implement and maintain a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme.
• Deliver regulatory advice and challenge to senior management and the Board.
• Oversee Consumer Duty framework and monitor customer outcomes.
• Ensure governance of Appointed Representative and outsourced activities.
• Oversee AML/CTF framework including due diligence and SARs.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement changes across the business.
• Report material risks to the Board and to authorities when required.
• Promote a culture of compliance, integrity and ethical conduct.
