Job summary

Mphasis UK Ltd. is seeking a Head of Compliance to provide independent oversight of regulatory compliance and the firm's AML/CTF arrangements.

The role combines Compliance Oversight (SMF16) and MLRO responsibilities, with accountability to the Board and close collaboration with the Managing Director. The post holder will drive a risk-based monitoring programme, ensure Consumer Duty outcomes, and lead governance across regulated activities including outsourced arrangements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within an FCA-regulated financial services environment.
• Strong working knowledge of the FCA Handbook, including CONC, SYSC, DISP, Consumer Duty and SM&CR.
• Experience in developing, implementing or monitoring compliance frameworks, policies and controls.
• Experience in undertaking compliance monitoring, regulatory advice and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm's Compliance Oversight and Financial Crime function, ensuring regulatory obligations are met.
• Act as SMF16 (Compliance Oversight) and SMF17 (MLRO) subject to FCA approval.
• Develop and maintain a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme with timely remediations.
• Provide independent regulatory advice and challenge to senior management and the Board.
• Oversee Consumer Duty framework and customer outcome monitoring.
• Monitor changes to FCA rules and implement regulatory changes across the business.
