Job summary

Mphasis UK Ltd. seeks a Head of Compliance, Compliance Oversight & Money Laundering Reporting Officer to provide independent oversight of the firm’s regulatory compliance framework and AML/CTF arrangements.

The role includes acting as SMF16 and SMF17, reporting to the Managing Director and the Board, and embedding Consumer Duty across the business. The successful candidate will lead the Compliance and Financial Crime function, deliver a risk-based monitoring programme, and advise management on

Qualifications

• Experience in an FCA-regulated financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook, including CONC, SYSC, DISP, Consumer Duty and SM&CR.
• Experience developing, implementing or monitoring compliance frameworks, policies and controls.
• Experience undertaking compliance monitoring, regulatory advice and risk assessments.
• Good understanding of AML, sanctions, customer due diligence and financial crime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of regulatory compliance and financial crime frameworks across FCA rules and applicable legislation.
• Act as SMF16 (Compliance Oversight) and SMF17 (MLRO) subject to FCA approval.
• Develop and maintain a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme and generate regular reports to the Board.
• Advise senior management on regulatory developments and proposed mitigations.
• Embed Consumer Duty to ensure positive customer outcomes across day-to-day operations.
• Promote strong ethics, training and ongoing regulatory engagement across the organisation.
