AssetCool is a fast-growing, venture-backed cleantech innovator transforming the economics of overhead power transmission. Operating at the intersection of energy and robotics, we design and deploy patented, state-of-the-art power line coating robots that can increase transmission capacity by up to 30%, at just 5% of the cost of traditional reinforcement methods.

Our technology has already been successfully deployed in commercial projects across the UK, Europe, and North America, with further major engagements underway with leading global utilities. With a unique ability to reduce losses, manage noise, and extend the lifespan of critical grid infrastructure, our systems are enabling smarter, more sustainable power networks worldwide.

As we enter a critical growth phase, AssetCool is scaling toward a future where fleets of autonomous coating robots operate globally, supporting the energy transition through faster, more cost-effective grid upgrades.

Role Overview

As CCO, you will shape and lead AssetCool’s global commercial strategy, building high-impact revenue streams across target markets in Europe, India, North America, and beyond. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will define the commercial direction of the business, leading all aspects of tendering, partnerships, contracting, and regulatory commercial engagement, while scaling our international sales and marketing operations aggressively over a 48-month roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional commercial strategies tailored to priority markets
  • Build a global revenue pipeline across the power systems and overhead transmission/cable manufacturing sectors
  • Lead and manage complex tendering processes, commercial contracts, and pricing structures
  • Engage with regulatory standards bodies from a commercial and strategic standpoint
  • Establish, mentor, and lead high-performance commercial teams across geographies
  • Open and oversee regional sales offices in India, the USA, and other strategic regions
  • Drive global marketing strategy with support from in-house and external marketing executives
  • Develop and manage a strategic international partnership pipeline with utilities, OEMs, and EPC firms
  • Represent AssetCool at major global conferences and industry events
  • Support the wider C-suite in overall business strategy, growth planning, and corporate governance
  • Engage with investors and support commercial input into fundraising and due diligence processes

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in senior commercial roles, ideally within power systems, cable manufacturing, or overhead line infrastructure
  • Leadership and influencing capabilities to build, develop, and inspire high-performing commercial teams
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, risk management, regulatory engagement, and standards compliance
  • Demonstrated success in tendering, revenue generation, and partnership development
  • Experience mentoring and training commercial staff across diverse regions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, scale-up environment
  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with an understanding of revenue levers and cost drivers
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Background in manufacturing environments and field service provision, especially within power systems or energy infrastructure
  • Exposure to cleantech start-ups and investor-backed businesses
  • Commercial leadership experience in utilities, grid operators, or major energy infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with hardware, coatings, or robotics deployment in industrial contexts
