Job description

Are you an experienced Chief Commercial Officer with experience of working within large IFA companies overseeing the design and delivery of strategic growth?

You will be part of their Executive Board, leading the commercial function with focus on growing organically and through acquisitions. At the core, you should ensure excellent, holistic financial planning advice is provided to clients.

With over 200 Independent Financial Advisors under your leadership, you have an excellent opportunity to increase revenue for the company through encouraging the Advisors to actively generate more business. This can be achieved through identifying new business development initiatives, partnerships and collaborations; setting targets; and developing cost effective incentives.

Our client has been and is actively involved in undertaking acquisitions with 100+ successfully completed deals, plus a significant pipeline of deals in place. You will oversee the Acquisitions Director, with the aim of increasing growth through the deals and ensuring a healthy future pipeline.

As Chief Commercial Officer, you will be working closely alongside the other C-suite individuals, most notably the Chief Executive Officer and Founder. Our client has private equity backing, which you will be involved in liaising with to maintain excellent working relationship with.

The Executive Board embrace a continuous improvement mindset and work collaboratively together to ensure the business runs smoothly and embraces a growth culture.

Chief Commercial Officer Requirements
  • You must have C-level experience within a medium / large Financial Service business
  • You must have significant experience within sales, business development and strategic planning
  • You must have experience within financial planning and investment management (within FCA regulated firm)
  • You must have a growth mindset, with experience of working within budgets and inspiring an entrepreneurial culture
  • You should have experience of acquiring businesses
  • Individuals with experience of working within a private equity funded business would be beneficial

With its Head Office based in the Midlands, it has 10 additional offices across the UK. Providing wealth management and financial advisory services to over 20,000 clients in the UK. These services are delivered by over 200 financial advisers and 600 support staff. They now look after £8bn of FuM and are looking to further expand their team of IFAs across the UK. This company is highly profitable and cash generating as well as having substantial funding available.
